Make it stand out.

Hi!  My name is Darla Parthemore!  I was born and raised in a small town in southern Oregon. My interest in photography began after my children were born, I wanted to capture every moment.. My photography experiences expanded and I developed a love of travel adventures after my husband re-entered the military. There were  plenty of opportunities to see new places and I wanted to save all of the moments for our family and to share with others. While my husband was in the military we lived in Germany, Oregon, California, Nevada, and Maryland. I took photographs to document our travels and to share these experiences with family and friends of places afar to keep connected. I initially started my photography journey with a 35mm camera and film and at one point had my own darkroom equipment. Like everything else things changed from film to digital so I decided to learn more about the digital world of photography. I started taking photography classes at a community college while my husband was stationed in California, learning the many aspects of digital photography including the postprocessing of images. Eventually we retired from the military and we moved back to Oregon and live on the amazing Oregon Coast. Although he has retired we haven't really settled down and spend our free time photographing the many wonders of this area.  I count my blessings for how fortunate I am to live here.  I am hoping to show you the beauty of living here.
